Ryan Cabrera

Ryan Frank Cabrera (born July 18, 1982) is an American singer-songwriter and musician.

He was the lead singer for the popular Dallas band Rubix Groove before he pursued a solo career. In 2001, Cabrera went into the studio to record his own independent album, ''Elm St.''. Following a strong critical and commercial response, Cabrera decided to pursue a permanent solo career. He released his first major-label album, ''Take It All Away'', on August 17, 2004, and it debuted at number eight on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album is co-produced by Goo Goo Dolls lead singer John Rzeznik. Earlier in the year, Cabrera had become known for his up-tempo pop-rock single "On the Way Down", which peaked at number 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number seven on the Billboard Top 40 Tracks. "On the Way Down" was followed by Cabrera's second single, "True"; and his third single "40 Kinds of Sadness".
Cabrera's latest EP, ''Wake Up Beautiful'', was released on March 3, 2015.
==Early life==
Cabrera was born in Dallas, Texas, and attended St. Paul the Apostle Catholic School in Richardson, Texas and then Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas. Listening to Dave Matthews Band influenced him to play acoustic guitar.
